Our resort is due to reopen in Autumn 2017 & we are now recruiting for a Storeperson to join the pre-opening team.

Job Purpose

To perform day-to-day stores tasks for ordering, inspecting, controlling and moving of products, while constantly aiming towards improving these functions to achieve the maximum financial benefit for the company.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure all goods ordered and delivered for any department within the company are received, checked and logged in as appropriate on the ERP system.
  • Carry out an on-going programme of cost efficiency review and strict stock control whilst maintaining standards expected of a Five Star Hotel.
  • Ensure the safe loading and offloading of goods or any materials from vehicles, and assisting colleagues in this task where necessary.
  • Become familiar with all products stocked, their value and their usage statistics.
  • Liaise with the Procurement Manager and Financial Controller to prioritise any urgent or important tasks to be completed daily.
  • Make deliveries to and collections from various locations internal and external.
  • Maintain a high standard of work at all times.
  • Take all necessary steps to ensure safe work practices occur especially while operating any equipment such as company cars, vans, utility vehicles, forklifts or any other equipment that may be used to carry out daily duties.
  • To learn how to operate the computerised ERP and stock control system, and to develop how it can be used to complete various tasks.
  • To learn how to operate the computerised property management and point-of-sale systems in order to perform accurate stock control checks.
  • Perform daily and weekly spot checks, and month end physical inventory stocktakes and report accurately on each stock location within the resort.
  • Be punctual always.
  • Be flexible in working hours to support the business needs. This may include working out of hours, public holidays or weekends where necessary.
  • Adhere to all conditions and procedures as laid out in the employee handbook.
  • Respect the need for confidentiality when processing company & customer data at all times.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of service delivery ensuring that policies and procedures comply with legislation and regulatory requirements regarding Fire, Health, Safety and Food Handling compliance (H.A.C.C.P).

Other Duties:

  • Attend any relevant training courses as requested by the company.
  • Ensure all external contractors, delivery-persons, company representatives etc., abide by company policy whilst working on the premises.
  • To be responsible for opening, closing and securing of the storage facility as necessary.
  • Carry out all reasonable requests from management.


  • Full clean driving licence
  • Forklift experience
  • Minimum three years' stores or warehouse experience
  • Competent in computer skills & data entry
