We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Director of Finance to join our Finance team.

The purpose of the role is to:

  • Support the Director of Finance on any aspect relating to the Finances/Financial Information/Financial Governance of the organization.
  • Implement adequate systems, processes and controls that will safe guard the assets of the business.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders & colleagues within the business to ensure effective decision making.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Finance Director in the preparation of budgets/forecasts and short/medium strategic plan.
  • Drive the financial planning of the business, by ongoing analysis of its performances and risks.
  • Review and oversee preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Provide insights into the operations and commerciality of the business and communicate this to all required level.
  • Prepare monthly detailed variance analysis against budget and review same with Executive Team.
  • Prepare all supporting documentation for the Annual Audit and liaising with the audit team.
  • Attend and present at relevant financial meetings.
  • Set targets for and supervise finance personal in the completion of their duties including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll Administration, Purchasing & Stock Control.
  • Management of the business working capital.
  • Ensure that all relevant records are prepared and filed for the following taxes - Vat, PAYE/PRSI and CT.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified Accountant - 3 to 5 PQE
  • Experience of working within the Hotel Sector.
  • Experience of working in a Senior Finance position
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with:
    • Leadership Team members
    • Heads of Departments
    • Finance Team
  • Demonstrated Commercial acumen
  • Strong MS Office skills and an adaptability to using new systems.
  • ERP System experience is desirable.
