Adare Manor is currently seeking a fully qualified accountant to take up the position of Assistant Financial Controller. For this position previous hotel experience is not essential but will be an advantage. He/she must have strong excel skills and be adaptable to using new systems.  Experience and excellent competency in using ERP system is desirable. Role is 5 days per week, in the main Monday-Friday from 9am-5.30pm with flexibility in both times and days as and when required to suit business needs.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role includes:

  • Preparation of timely and accurate financial reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis in the format of the Resort's Financial Reporting Suite.
  • Review monthly results and prepare detailed variance analysis for review by Financial Controller
  • Assist the FC in the development, implementation and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Finance System implementation and improvements.
  • Ensure that all relevant records are prepared and filed for the following taxes - VAT, PAYE/PRSI and CT
  • Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaising with the field staff from our external auditors.
  • Inventory analysis, gross margin analysis and reporting of same
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions
  • Attend and present at relevant finance meetings
  • Oversee over finance personnel in the completion of their duties
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly forecasted cash flows
  • Assist the FC and SMT in the preparation of budgets
  • To participate in any training/development schemes as recommended by leadership team.
